The internet has become a big necessity means of communication especially during human crises and a crucial tool for man kind all over the planet. Currently,a Portuguese business wishes to make sure everyone has access to it from any part of the world, in any corner. Quarkson plans to use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to transmit Internet to all part of the world.
Quarkson's SkyOrbiter program is slightly similar to Googles project loon, which also aims to provide internet access to places. Only difference is that it tries to aim for the remote areas which don't have Internet access . In this process Google plans to float internet-enabled balloons above the earth, where as Quarkson chooses to use a fleet of high-range UAVs to provide connectivity from orbit.
- This fleet features six different low-altitude parts and three high-altitude parts. The most primitive Fleet is the LA25. It is invented for commercial and government use and is able to deliver connectivity to places which don't have Internet at all.The LA25 has a wingspan of about 25 m, works at 3,500 m and has a range of over 42,000 km or till 14 days.
